Sheet Metal Tapping Screws
Self-tapping sheet metal screws are designed with a gimlet or blunt tip and sharp threads making it easy to cut into materials such as metal, plastic or wood. The gimlet point screws are designed for drilling their own hole into softer materials so they don't need a pilot hole. The advantage of the flat-tipped blunt screw is that it won't get stuck in the material and break off.
